The list of tournament reschedules continues to grow as amateur golf tries to re-emerge from the coronavirus shutdown

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to affect nearly all aspects of life, the list of amateur golf tournaments that have been cancelled, postponed or rescheduled continues to grow.

AMATEUR TOURNAMENTS AFFECTED BY THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

August 30

Two jewels on the fall amateur major calendar -- the Crump Cup and the Stocker Cup -- have been cancelled.

August 8

Many tournaments continue to be rescheduled, and rather than continue to update the list here, we will only be updating our tournament database with the latest changes. You can search for tournaments here, and tournaments that are cancelled or postponed will continue to be marked as such in the search results.

August 7

The Asheboro City Amateur has been postponed and an October date is being sought.

The Northern California Women's Stroke Play has been rescheduled to October 20-21.

The Northern California Hers 'n His Tournament has been rescheduled to Ocgtober 5-6.

The Taos Amateur has been cancelled.

August 5

The British Senior Amateur has been cancelled and will next be played July 27-30, 2021.

The Audi Memorial has been cancelled.

The Syracuse District Best-Ball has been rescheduled to September 20-21.

July 31

The John R. Williams Four-Ball Invitationa has been cancelled.

The Rudy's I-35 Cup has been cancelled.

The Southern California Open has been rescheduled to September 1-3.

The Firecracker Open Golf Championship has been rescheduled to September 11-13.

The Gary Braughton Four-Ball Invitational has been rescheduled to December 12-13.

The San Clemente Men's Amateur has been cancelled.

The Kanza Players Cup Matches have been rescheduled to October 27-28.

The Washington Metropolitan Amateur has been rescheduled to October 26-27.

July 28

The Western Pennsylvania Amateur Championship has been rescheduled to August 24-25.

The Oglethorpe Invitational has been postponed.

July 27

The Australian Open has been cancelled for 2020 and an early 2021 date is being sought.

July 26

Due to a COVID outbreak at the host facility, the Carolinas Women's Match Play has been cancelled.

July 25

The Southern California Amateur and Southern California Women's Amateur have been rescheduled and will be held concurrently, August 17-20.

July 22

The New York State Open has been rescheduled to August 25-27.

The Senior Porter Cup has been cancelled and will next be held September 8-10, 2021. The Friendship Cup has been cancelled and will next be held September 12-14, 2021.

The Sonoma County Amateur has been cancelled.

July 17

The Women's Southern Nevada Amateur has been rescheduled to September 2-3.

The Oregon Coast Invitational has been cancelled and will next be played July 17-24, 2021.

July 11

The New York State Golf Association has cancelled the remainder of their championships for 2020.

The Philadelphia Open has been postponed, two days before the event was to start.

The Women's California Open has been rescheduled to August 4-5.

The Texas North Amateur and Texas South Amateur have been cancelled.

The Naperville Men's Amateur has been cancelled.

July 9

The Austin City Championship has been postponed and the Firecracker Open has tentatively been rescheduled to August 1-3.

The Tom Hoover Ozark Invitational has been rescheduled to September 19-20.

The Chattanooga TPC and Senior TPC Golf Tournament has been cancelled.

The Snohomish County Amateur has been cancelled for 2020 and will next be held May 29-31, 2021.

July 8

The Men's and Women's Asia-Pacific Amateur championships have been cancelled for 2020; the women's championship will next be held Feb. 4-7, 2021.

The Ivy League has announced that golf, among other fall sports, will not be played in the fall.

The Santa Cruz City Championship has been cancelled.

July 3

The Westchester Open has been rescheduled to October 12-13.

The Lexington City Team Championship has been rescheduled to August 22-23 and the Lexington Senior Championship has been rescheduled to September 11-13.

The Maryland Senior Four-Ball has been rescheduled to October 19.

The Western Pennsylvania Amateur has been postponed just days before it was set to start.

June 30

The Pacific Northwest Golf Association has cancelled all remaining championship for 2020.

The Seattle Amateur has been postponed and an October date is being sought. The West Seattle Amateur has been cancelled.

The Firecracker Open has been moved back one week to July 10-12 after all Parks were closed in Austin for the July 4 weekend.

The Marin County Best Ball has been cancelled.

The City of Portland Amateur has been postponed.

June 27

The R&A has announced that:
- The Amateur Championship will be played at Royal Birkdale only (no second course for qualifying).
- The Women's Amateur Championship will move to West Lancashire in England, from Kilmarnock in Scotland.
- The R&A Girls’ Amateur, Boys’ Amateur and Women’s Senior Amateur championships have been cancelled.
- The Curtis Cup Matches have been rescheduled to September 3-5.

From the New York State Golf Association:
- The New York Women's Amateur & Mid-Amateur has been postponed.
- The New York Girls' Amateur has been postponed.

The Monterey City Championship has been postponed.

The Hawley Quier Memorial has been cancelled.

June 22

The Amateur Golf Alliance Women’s Amateur Championship has been rescheduled to October 1-3.

The Berks County Match Play has been rescheduled to August 10-16.

The Buffalo District Match Play has been rescheduled to August 7-9.

June 19

The British Senior Open has been cancelled, as well as the rest of the Staysure Tour events for 2020.

From the New Jersey State Golf Association:
- The New Jersey Mid-Amateur has been rescheduled to October 13-15.
- The New Jersey Four-Ball has been rescheduled to October 27-29.
- The New Jersey Girls Championship has been rescheduled to July 27-28.
- The New Jersey Junior Championship has been rescheduled to August 24-26.

The Columbus Mid-Amateur, Senior & Super Senior Championship has been rescheduled to September 30-October 1.

The Denver City Amateur has been rescheduled to August 29-30.

The Long Beach Golf Festival has cancelled all events for the 2020 season.

The Capitol City Amateur has been rescheduled to July 18-19.

The Goodyear Two-Man Invitational has been rescheduled to September 19-20.

The Highland Hills Amateur has been rescheduled to September 19-20.

June 10

The Pasadena City Championship has been rescheduled to July 24-26.

The Columbia Golf Championship has been cancelled and will next be played August 7-8, 2021.

The Mississippi Women's State Amateur has been rescheduled to August 7-9.

The Michael Hebron Amateur has been postponed.

June 9

The Evian Championship has been cancelled.

The Santa Clara County Amateur has been rescheduled to July 27 as a one-day, 36-hole event.

The Merced County Amateur and Senior Championship has been cancelled.

The Mesquite Amateur has been cancelled and will next be played May 31-June 4, 2021.

The Florida Women's Mid-Amateur has been rescheduled to August 29-30 and the Florida Public Links has been rescheduled to August 7-9.

The Missouri Senior Four-Ball has been rescheduled to September 8-9.

The Tacoma City Amateur has been rescheduled to August 28-30.

The Central Illinois Amateur has been rescheduled to August 29-30.

The Pennsylvania Golf Association has cancelled its Four-Ball and Mixed Team championships and reduced the field size for the state amateur to 78 players.

The Hornblower Memorial has been rescheduled to August 3-4 and the Senior Hornblower has been rescheduled to August 31-September 1

The Hochster Memorial has been cancelled.

The Columbia City Tournament has been cancelled.

The Greater Lansing All-City Match Play has been postponed.

The ODU Spivey Rentals Golf Classic has been rescheduled to August 22-23.

The Bob Howerton Invitational has been cancelled.

The Santa Maria Valley Men's Amateur has been postponed.

The Women's Metropolitan Match Play has been cancelled.

The Ida E. Dixon Cup has been rescheduled to October 20.

The Arizona Stroke Play has been rescheduled to August 13-16.

From the Louisiana Golf Association: the Lousiana Women's Mid-Amateur has been rescheduled to August 27-28 and the Louisiana Senior Amateur has been rescheduled to August 27-29.

The Michigan Open has been rescheduled to August 31-September 3.

The Alabama State Four-Ball has been rescheduled to September 11-13 and the Alabama State Senior Amateur has been rescheduled to October 30-November 1.

The North Carolina Senior Open has been rescheduled to October 26-27.

The Georgia Women's Four-Ball has been rescheduled to September 28-29.

The Women's Southern Nevada Amateur has been rescheduled to July 18-19 and the Women's Southern Nevada Senior has been rescheduled to September 22-23.

The Ute Creek Invitational has been rescheduled to October 3-4.

The Wimberly Cup has been rescheduled to August 15-16.

The New Jersey Senior Open has been rescheduled to September 29.

The South Carolina Senior Women's Championship has been rescheduled to August 25-26, and the SC Women's Team Championship has been rescheduled to November 16-17.

The USGA cancelled four additional championships and also cancelled all qualifying for the U.S. Open and the other three remaining championships, which will now have all-exempt fields.

The Pacific Coast Amateur has been cancelled and will next be played July 20-23, 2021.

The Louisiana Golf Association has cancelled all qualifiers for the state amateur and will take entries on a first come, first served basis (providing entrants are eligible).

The Northern California Golf Association has cancelled all events through June 28.

The Tony Lema Amateur has been rescheduled to October 3-4.

The Pacific Women's Spring Partners has been rescheduled to July 14-15.

The Greater Cincinnati Metro Four-Ball has been postponed.

The Snohomish County Amateur has been postponed with the likely reschedule date September 5-7.

The Michigan Senior Match Play has been rescheduled to June 1-4.

The Wine Country Amateur has been cancelled.

The South Dakota Two-Man has been rescheduled to August 29-30.

May 4

The Southern Amateur will be played as scheduled, but will cancel all national qualifiers and reduce its field size, which will consist of exempt and invited players only.

- The Georgia Women's Match Play has been rescheduled to July 28-30.

The Spring Two-Man Challenge has been cancelled.

The Dean Harrison 2 Man Spring Fling has been postponed.

March 17

The USGA has cancelled the first two championships of the year: the Men's and Women's Four-Ball Championships. In addition, U.S. Open Local Qualifying and U.S. Women's Open Qualifying has been cancelled in its current form and will be reworked.

The Terra Cotta Invitational has been cancelled for 2020.

The Indiana Golf Association has cancelled all events through May 1.

The Palm Beach County Golf Association has postponed events through the end of March.

The California Seniors Golf Association Championship has been cancelled.

The Harmon Invitational Four-Ball has been cancelled.

The Los Angeles City Junior Championship has been postponed indefinitely.

The Red Hills Amateur has been postponed.

The Rancho Mirage City Amateur has been cancelled.

The Goleta City Championship has been postponed to the summer or early fall.

The City Park Championship has been postponed.

The Green Valley Ranch Spring Amateur has been cancelled.

March 16

The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) has postponed all tournaments before Memorial Day and will work on reschedule as many of those as possible.

The Texas Golf Association has cancelled all competitions through April 12.

The Arkansas State Golf Association has postponed all competitions through the end of April and will try to reschedule as many as possible

The Alabama Golf Association has postponed its first event of the season.

The Louisiana Golf Association has rescheduled its Women's Four-Ball to October 17-18.

The Coleman Invitational and Coleman Senior Invitational have been cancelled and will next be played in 2022 (with the Walker Cup going to Seminole in 2021, the Coleman will not be played).

Golf Australia has cancelled the Australian Junior boys and girls championships, and has postponed the South Australian Amateur Classic.

The South African Golf Association has cancelled all competitions through April 30.

Several tournaments in Northern California are being cancelled as golf courses close, including the Contra Costa Senior and the Tony Lema Championship.

The Sacramento Golf Council has cancelled competitions through the month of April.

March 15

The Azalea Invitational in Charleston, S.C., has been postponed and a new date will be announced in the near future.

The Golfweek Senior Amateur at PGA West has been cancelled for 2020. The tournament will next be played April 7-9, 2021.

March 14

France not only halted all golf competitions, they closed all golf courses.

The Arizona Golf Association cancelled all March competitions.

The Georgia State Golf Association is postponing or canceling all events and competitions through the end of March.

The Society of Seniors (SOS) Senior Masters has been cancelled for 2020. The tournament will next be played April 13-15, 2021.

March 13

The Masters, Augusta National Women's Amateur (ANWA) and Drive, Chip and Putt Finals have all been postponed.

The Georgia Cup, the match held before the Masters between the U.S. and British Amateur champions, has also been postponed.

Scottish Golf has cancelled its three championships scheduled for April.

The Northern California Golf Association (NCGA) announced a suspension of all competitions through April 18.

The Florida State Golf Association has suspended all competitions through April 26.

The Utah Golf Association cancelled all competitions through April 30.

The Carolinas Golf Association and South Carolina Golf Association suspended all events through April 5.

The Virginia State Golf Association postponed and the Oregon Golf Association cancelled all events through the end of March.

The Sun Country Golf Association cancelled their Spring Stroke Play Championship and postponed the Wimberly Cup.

The Champions Cup, one of the nation's premier four-ball majors, has been cancelled.

The Morrison Cup has been postponed and will be moved to June 4-6.

The California Senior Women's Championship has been postponed.

The Pasadena City Championship has been postponed and a new date will be announced within 30 days.

March 12

The Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) has announced that all competitions are postponed.

The Irish Golf Union has cancelled or postponed several competitions scheduled for March or early April.

The NCAA announced that they would cancel all spring and winter championships. Per the NCAA release:

"Today, NCAA President Mark Emmert and the Board of Governors canceled the Division I men’s and women’s 2020 basketball tournaments, as well as all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships. This decision is based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat, our ability to ensure the events do not contribute to spread of the pandemic, and the impracticality of hosting such events at any time during this academic year given ongoing decisions by other entities."

Earlier, the Ivy League announced that they would cancel all spring sports activities; today several leagues followed suit.

First it was the Patriot League, who announced the cancellation of all spring sports activities. Similar announcements followed from the Pac 12, SEC (for now a suspension instead of cancellation), Big 12 (suspension until April 15), and ACC (suspension until further notice), and C-USA (suspension until further notice).

Other leagues have followed suit. The bottom line is that college golf is essentially shut down indefinitely.

March 11

The Royal Spanish Golf Federation has postponed all competitions that were scheduled for March and April..

The City of Austin has closed its municipal courses, resulting in the postponement of the Spring Championship.

March 9

The Italian Golf Federation has suspended all competitions indefinitely..

Earlier

The Queen Sirikit Cup in Korea has been postponed indefinitely.

The Asia-Pacific Women's Amateur has been rescheduled to October 7-10 in Thailand after originally scheduled for February.
