The Tennessee State Open Championship is a 54-hole stroke play competition open to both professionals and accomplished amateurs. One of Tennessee’s premier championships, the event welcomes amateurs with a qualifying USGA/GHIN Handicap Index from TGA member clubs. With a list of champions dating back to 1949, the State Open has long served as a proving ground where Tennessee’s top professionals and amateurs compete for the same title.
Professionals and amateurs with an active USGA/GHIN Handicap Index of 8.0 or less from a TGA member club or course
