The program

AmateurGolf.com offers an opt-in SMS alerts program for competitive amateur golfers in the United States. The program sends transactional text messages about tournaments you have explicitly chosen to follow.

What you’ll receive

• Registration-open alerts. When a tournament on your watchlist opens for entries, we send a single text with the tournament name and a link.
• Deadline reminders (Member tier only). A heads-up before registration closes for tournaments you’re watching or registered for.
• Live leaderboard alerts (Member tier only). Score changes during live rounds for tournaments you’re watching.

You will also receive a one-time welcome text confirming your opt-in.

Frequency

Message frequency depends on the tournaments you follow and your tier. Typical users receive between 1 and 4 messages per month. Members receiving deadline + leaderboard alerts may receive more during their active competitive season.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply per your wireless carrier’s plan. AmateurGolf.com does not charge for the SMS service itself.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message at any time to unsubscribe immediately. You can also turn SMS off from Account → Notifications on AmateurGolf.com. After opting out you will receive one final confirmation message.

Reply HELPto any message and you’ll receive a short reply with our contact info. You can also reach us anytime at membership@amateurgolf.com.

Supported carriers

We support all major US carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, MetroPCS, and Virgin Mobile USA. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Eligibility

The SMS program is available to wireless subscribers with US phone numbers only. You must be the account holder of the wireless number you provide, or have the account holder’s permission to enroll the number.

Privacy

Phone numbers are used solely to send the alerts described above and are not shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle personal data.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via on-site notice. Continued use of the SMS program after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
