About the tournament
The tournament will have three divisions,
Championship, Mid-Amateur and Senior. All divisions
will be match play. The tournament is open to
qualified legal resident women members of clubs
belonging to the Women’s Kentucky State Golf
Association.
The Championship Division is open to any participant
regardless of age. The Championship Division will
have a Title Flight of 32 players and additional flights
of 8 players. The Title Flight will consist of the
defending champion and the 31 lowest handicapped
entrants, or the 32 lowest handicapped entrants if
the defending champion is not entered. The Title
Division will play first and second round matches on
Monday, quarterfinal and semifinal matches on
Tuesday and the finals on Wednesday. The other
flights have one match per day.
The Mid-Amateur Division will be open to any
participant 25 years of age or older. The participants
will be placed in flights of 8 based on handicaps. If
the defending champion is entered, she will receive
the number one seed in the first flight.
The Senior Division will be open to any participant 55
years of age or older. The participants will be paired
in flights of 8 based on handicaps. If the defending
champion is entered, she will receive the number
one seed in the first flight.
