Del Monte's small, sloping greens and narrow tree-lined fairways consistently produce low winning scores from competitors who master position off the tee and precise distance control on approaches.

Super-Senior Amateur FAQ

What age is super-senior in amateur golf?

Super-senior divisions usually start at 65, though some events use 60 or 70. Many senior amateur tournaments (55+) award a separate super-senior title within the same field, so super-seniors often have two ways to compete in one event.

Are there national championships for super-seniors?

Yes. Several national and regional bodies run dedicated super-senior championships, and most state senior amateurs include a super-senior division. The USGA does not currently conduct a standalone super-senior championship, so independent events carry the division.

Can super-seniors still play in regular senior tournaments?

Absolutely — super-senior is a subset of senior. A 68-year-old can enter any senior amateur (55+) event and also compete for its super-senior division prize where one is offered.
