Currently our club plays an Individual Low Net format at about half of our events. The remainder of the time, we play team events instead of the Individual Low Net format, like 2 Man 1 Net, or 4 Man 2 Net. This format and the Closest to the Pin awards are included in the event fee. We also have optional Full Net Skins, Max 18 Net Skins, Gross Skins, and Low Gross formats ($5 each). And now that we offer Live Scoring, members can view the Leaderboard in real time, and most of the day's results are available shortly after every group has turned in and signed their scorecard. Our members have a wide range of player indices (+1.1 to 39.4), so there is always somebody of similar skill levels available to play with. All club activity (event sign up, green fee payment, event results, posting of scores, announcements) takes place online through our club website. Currently we have over 180 members in the club, but turnout on any given weekend is usually 20% to 45% of that. As you can imagine with a club of this size, we do expect members and their guests to play Ready Golf. Typically, our club tries to play the better courses in southern Arizona, as long as we can keep the green fee at $80 or less. Membership dues subsidize some events, along with our mid-year and club championship events. I hope to introduce the occasional road trip to play courses outside of the So. Az. area. Also, we play on either Saturdays (3/4 times per month) or Sundays (1/4 times per month). Our schedule can be viewed at samgc.golfgenius.com As you'll see, we play a wide variety of courses throughout southern Arizona. Annual club dues are $80 for the calendar year. We play year-round, which is around 52 events per year, with an occasional exception (Christmas on a Saturday, etc.). Membership Questions contact Bruce Clayton at soazmgc@gmail.com or 520-981-7201. **If under 18, they must have a parent/guardian as a member in good standings who must be present with the minor at all events they wish to participate**
