Currently our club plays an Individual Low Net format at about half of our events. The remainder of the time, we play team events instead of the Individual Low Net format, like 2 Man 1 Net, or 4 Man 2 Net. This format and the Closest to the Pin awards are included in the event fee. We also have optional Full Net Skins, Max 18 Net Skins, Gross Skins, and Low Gross formats ($5 each). And now that we offer Live Scoring, members can view the Leaderboard in real time, and most of the day's results are available shortly after every group has turned in and signed their scorecard. Our members have a wide range of player indices (+1.1 to 39.4), so there is always somebody of similar skill levels available to play with. All club activity (event sign up, green fee payment, event results, posting of scores, announcements) takes place online through our club website. Currently we have over 180 members in the club, but turnout on any given weekend is usually 20% to 45% of that. As you can imagine with a club of this size, we do expect members and their guests to play Ready Golf. Typically, our club tries to play the better courses in southern Arizona, as long as we can keep the green fee at $80 or less. Membership dues subsidize some events, along with our mid-year and club championship events. I hope to introduce the occasional road trip to play courses outside of the So. Az. area. Also, we play on either Saturdays (3/4 times per month) or Sundays (1/4 times per month). Our schedule can be viewed at samgc.golfgenius.com As you'll see, we play a wide variety of courses throughout southern Arizona. Annual club dues are $80 for the calendar year. We play year-round, which is around 52 events per year, with an occasional exception (Christmas on a Saturday, etc.). Membership Questions contact Bruce Clayton at soazmgc@gmail.com or 520-981-7201. **If under 18, they must have a parent/guardian as a member in good standings who must be present with the minor at all events they wish to participate**

Established in 1972, Palmbrook Golf Club is quietly nestled in a mid-century Palm Springs-like setting on the edge of Peoria and Sun City, AZ. From 1972-2012 Palmbrook was a premier private country club. From 2012-22 the club joyfully became semi-private. In 2022 Palmbrook was purchased by new, golf enthusiast ownership and now serves the public via its parkland-style course and 25,000 square foot clubhouse. At Palmbrook we’re focused on a culture of celebrating golf. No frills to drive up cost and no gimmicks to slow down your round. Just a well-designed course playing to all skill levels, and a food & beverage operation simple enough to serve a thirsty golfer yet sophisticated enough for our in-house chef to host a spectacular wedding for up to 400 guests. It’s a simple formula but it works incredibly well. Palmbrook has a reputation for being in beautiful shape. Playing as long as 6853 yards, five sets of tees cater to any player and make for a fun day of golf, even as its lush fairways and sloped greens provide a stern test for all. The tree-lined layout incorporates several natural water hazards, including six separate lakes on the back nine. The greens are usually fast, challenging to read, and with strategically placed bunkers that make approach shots require maximum concentration. 15 minutes from the Arizona Cardinals stadium and less than 30 from the airport, Palmbrook is reachable from just about anywhere. Come visit us. We’ll be happy to see you. Membership questions contact Josh Gold at golf@palmbrookgolf.com.
