Ellise Rymer captures English Women's Amateur, earns Open qualifying spot

Ellise Rymer stood on the home soil where her amateur career began and claimed the title she had long pursued, defeating Isabella Kent 2 Up in the 36-hole final of the English Women's Amateur Championship at Moor Park Golf Club.

The University of Cincinnati senior from England closed out Kent, a Wofford College junior, to capture one of England's oldest national championships and secure a berth into final qualifying for the AIG Women's Open, the final major on the women's professional calendar.
