About the tournament

The English Women's Amateur Championship is one of England’s oldest national women’s golf championships, bringing together up to 120 players for a demanding two-stage format. After 36 holes of stroke play, the leading players advance to match play knockout rounds, culminating in a 36-hole final. First played in 1912, the championship blends national history with one of amateur golf’s classic tests: earning a place in match play, then surviving head-to-head until a champion is crowned.
