Kruger defeated Astin Wade Arthur 9 & 7 to win the championship with ease

Dian Kruger cruised to the win at the 2024 Northern Amateur Open Championship at the Country Club of Johannesburg in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Kruger defeated Astin Wade Arthur 9 & 7 in the final match to easily win the championship. Kruger defeated Ivan Verster in the semifinals in a legendary match, going all the way to the 26th hole. Any concerns of fatigue were out to bed early on in the championship match, with Kruger going 6 up through the first 18 holes. 

Kruger has had a great 2024, coming off a win at the North West Amateur Open. He also finished in the round of 64 in the South African Amateur and T4 at the 2024 Golf RSA International Amateur.

Kruger is currently ranked No. 338 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings.

Kruger defeated Kayle Wykes 3 & 2 in the round of 32, defeated Fabrizio de Abreu 4 & 3 in the round of 16, and defeated Jaden Deltel on the 21st hole in the quarterfinals.
