North West Amateur Open: Dian Kruger goes low in South Africa

Kruger shot 15-under and a final round 6-under 66 to best the field by five shots

Dian Kruger won the 2024 North West Amateur Open Championship at Pecanwood Golf Club in Hartbeespoortdam, South Africa, finishing five shots ahead of the field.

Kruger finished 15-under with a final round 6-under 66, recording seven birdies and a bogey. He carded rounds of 68-67-66 to get to 15-under.

Tristan Leonard finished in solo second place at 10-under, Francois Coetzee finished in solo third place at 8-under, and Tobias De Flamingh finished in solo fourth place at 7-under. Four golfers finished T5 at 6-under.

Kruger finished in solo fifth place in the 2023 North West Amateur Open and recently finished T4 at the GolfRSA International Amateur and made the match play portion of the South African Amateur Championship.

The North West Amateur Open Championship is a 54-hole stroke play championship with a cut after 36 holes. The cut fell at 5-over this year.
