Nate Smith
Nate Smith of Tetonia, Idaho, delivered another dominant performance at Teton Reserve Golf Course, carding rounds of 66-65-70 to finish at 15-under 201 and win the 98th Idaho Men's Amateur Championship by six shots.
The victory marked Smith's second Idaho Amateur title in three years after first lifting the Scott Masingill Cup in 2024. The former PGA Tour player, who reinstated his amateur status after stepping away from professional golf in 2013, also earned an exemption into the 126th U.S. Amateur Championship. The win added valuable World Amateur Golf Ranking points, allowing him to bypass U.S. Mid-Amateur qualifying while keeping his Walker Cup aspirations firmly in sight.
