Sautron Cruises to Seven-Shot Victory at Monroe Invitational with Bogey-Free 65

Rudy Sautron (University of Tennessee) closed with a flawless 5-under 65 to win The Monroe Invitational by seven strokes at 19-under 261 at Monroe Golf Club.

The bogey-free finale capped a dominant week that included a third-round 63. Carson Bertagnole (North Carolina) finished alone in second at 12-under after an even-par 70. Noah Kent (Florida) and Collins Trolio (Ole Miss) tied for third at 11-under, with Kent posting a closing 67 and Trolio a 72.

Kent did not leave empty-handed -- he won the long drive trophy after posting a 386-yard drive during one of the tournament's post-round traditions during the week.

Jacob Lang (Kentucky) rounded out the top five at 10-under. Sautron's wire-to-wire performance at the historic Donald Ross layout marks one of the largest margins of victory in recent Monroe Invitational history.
