The Buenaventura Municipal Golf Course was flooded in January 2023 and re-opened in April 2025 with a 14-hole temporary layout, which comes with a reduced greens fee schedule. Buenaventura Golf Course is located in the beautiful beachside community of Ventura, California. Ventura is one hour north of Los Angeles and forty minutes south of Santa Barbara and exhibits Southern California's temperate weather year round. To provide interest in golf and social ability attending it. To enforce uniformity in rules of golf. To establish and support a fair and uniform system of handicapping. Open to amateur women golfers over the age of 18.

Gold Coast Golf Association is an SCGA affiliate club of some 200 members, who test their skills against one another in competitions at some of the best courses in Southern California, emphasizing the USGA Rules of Golf. We play net score tournaments monthly on the third Thursday at different courses. On the off Thursdays, we have organized skins games at various area courses. For our monthly tournaments, we set 4 flights by SCGA Index. Entry fees cover greens/cart costs, plus KP and fewest putts contests, and we pay 4 spots in each flight. We also offer optional gross and net skins games. We have tournaments within tournaments to determine Gross, Net, Senior, and Better Ball champs. Winners represent the Club at annual SCGA-sponsored tournaments for which Gold Coast pays entry fees. We also field a team for the Ventura County Seniors Cup tournament. The Olivas Weekend Women’s Golf Club was founded over 20 years ago to meet the needs of the working women who can only play golf on the weekends. This tradition still holds true today. And while we have some members that are now retired, women of all ages continue to stay with the Club because of friendships formed over the years. Being part of our club is a great way to meet women, make friends and form friendships that last a lifetime. We have monthly tournaments run by club member volunteers, including a Member-Guest tournament in the early part of the year to introduce new golfers to the club, a two day Club Championship, and a really fun Holiday tournament. All of the tournaments are competitive but mostly a lot of fun; we play individual, partner and team formats. We welcome women of all ages and skill levels, so come and check us out!

Best "Blue Collar Club" in Ventura County! The SSMGC is committed to providing a golf schedule and tournament environment that serves all its members. The number of tournaments and the tournament format have been set up based on input from members and the history of past participation. Our goal at each tournament is to enjoy golf, the group we’re playing with, and the tournament format. Unique golf club that enjoys playing golf and introducing each player to all its members by its method of selecting foursomes. Every Thursday we play a tournament. The tournament has a shotgun starting at 7:30am and we play a few away tournaments and a 4 man scramble the 4th Thursday of every month. There is a $3 tournament fee and an optional $2 skin when signing in each week, that will be paid directly to the club.
