James White closed with a 4-under 67 to win the Leven Gold Medal at Leven Links, finishing one shot clear of Charlie Gillespie and David Paterson.
White opened with a 74 before responding with consecutive 68s and a final-round 67 for a 72-hole total of 277. He played his final three rounds in 10-under to secure his second Leven Gold Medal title, adding to his victory in 2023.
The win also continues a family connection with the tournament. White's father, Jim White, won the Leven Gold Medal in 2003.
The result comes a year after White produced one of the most remarkable rounds in Leven Links history but missed out on the title. During the 2025 edition, he smashed the course record with an 11-under 60, making 11 birdies and narrowly missing a putt on the 18th that would have given him a 59. Despite the record-breaking round, James Donaldson went on to win the 2025 title.
This time, White finished the job. Gillespie posted rounds of 69-72-68-69 to finish tied for second at 278 alongside Paterson, who went 68-71-67-72.
Ashley Williams (67-69-74-69) and Jamie Reid (66-70-73-70) shared fourth at 279, while Calum Nairn and defending champion Donaldson tied for sixth at 281.
Away from competitive golf, White works as the UK & Ireland Sales Manager for golf technology company Shot Scope, making his second Leven Gold Medal victory another notable addition to an amateur résumé that now spans more than a decade at the historic links.
