Tiger Xie stood two shots back entering Sunday's final round at Wascana Country Club. By the time he rolled in a birdie at the 18th, the Surrey, B.C., junior had his first national championship.
Xie closed with a 2-under 70 to finish at 16-under 272, erasing a deficit to leader Michael Vivone, an incoming freshman at Elon University, and winning the Canadian Junior Boys Championship by two strokes in Regina, Sask.
