Sophia Martone of Holly Springs, NC, held off a pair of final-round challengers to capture the 4th Carolinas Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship by one shot at Brier Creek Country Club.
Martone followed an opening 4-over 76 with a 1-over 73 in the final round to finish the 36-hole championship at 5-over 149.
