    Asselta and Saga claim RLX Ralph Lauren Junior Classic titles at Bethpage Black

    The RLX Ralph Lauren Junior Classic has crowned its champions at Bethpage State Park's Black Course. In the Polo Division, Rory Asselta (Ramsey, N.J., 2028) capped an unbeaten week with a 5-and-4 victory over Joseph Corcell in the final. The No. 12 seed won all six matches at Bethpage Black, including bracket-play wins over Drake Harvey (3&2), Noah Maclauchlan (4&3), and Corcell.

    In the Liberty Division, Eliana Saga (Stevenson Ranch, Calif., 2027) took the title 2 and 1 over Clairey Lin. Saga advanced through a 3-and-2 semifinal win over Elizabeth Guthrie after surviving a 20-hole quarterfinal. Lin defeated Asterisk Talley 6 and 5 in her semifinal. Both champions earned their titles on the 2026 U.S. Open venue.

The RLX Ralph Lauren Junior Classic crowned two new champions Thursday at Bethpage State Park's Black Course in Farmingdale, N.Y., where Rory Asselta (Ramsey, N.J., 2028) and Eliana Saga (Stevenson Ranch, Calif., 2027) navigated a week of elite match play to capture the Polo and Liberty Division titles.

Asselta, the No. 12 seed, completed an unbeaten run through the tournament with a 5-and-4 victory over Joseph Corcell (Tampa, Fla., 2027) in the championship match. He didn't lose a match at Bethpage Black, going 3-0 in pool play — defeating Clark Mason (4&3), Manav Bharani (2 up), and Andy Dai (1 up) — before advancing through the bracket with wins over Drake Harvey (3&2), Noah Maclauchlan (4&3), and Corcell in the final.
