Edward Fryatt separated himself from the field in the second round of the Golfweek Senior Desert Showdown, turning a share of the overnight lead into a six-stroke advantage.

The Las Vegas, Nev., golfer followed his opening 67 with a 7-under 65 to reach 12-under 132. Jerry Slagle, of Keller, Texas, holds second after consecutive rounds of 69, leaving Fryatt with a substantial cushion heading into the final round.
