After four inches of overnight rain at Taiheiyo Club Gotemba in Shizuoka, Japan, the afternoon wave of golfers in the 2024 Asia-Pacific Amateur were forced to finish their second rounds on Saturday morning.
Rintaro Nakano, the 2023 Japan Amateur champion, leads Wenyi Ding and Rizq Adam Rohizam by two shots at 8-under. The golfers at the top of the leaderboard are all only through the first couple of holes in the third round.
The golfers will complete their third round on Sunday morning and then start the final round.
Ding is the highest-ranked player in the field at No. 9 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings.

The Asia-Pacific Amateur (formerly known as the Asian Amateur) is the first of a series of worldwide championships organized by the Asia Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC), the Masters Tournament, and the R&A.
The winner is invited to the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club and the British Open Championship. The event has historically moved throughout the region and is now held in China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, and New Zealand.
The cut was made after the second round concluded on Saturday morning at 7-over.
