Rice Planters: Thomas Bradshaw sets Record

Bradshaw's 20-under set a new low, edging Scott Harvey by just 1 on a wild weekend in South Carolina

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (June 23, 2012) -- Thomas Bradshaw won the Rice Planters Amateur on June 23, finishing at 20-under 268 for the tournament. Bradshaw’s total sets a new record – the previous low total was 270. Bradshaw opened with a 6-under 66 at Snee Farm Country Club in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and never looked back. The Clemson junior, who hails from Columbia, S.C., followed with rounds of 68-67-67 to finish one shot ahead of runner-up Scott Harvery. Zach Monroe finished solo third at 17-under 271 and Thomas Bass was fourth at 16 under. Defending champion Austin Cody, a Duke junior, finished joint 32nd, at 2-under 286.
