Extra holes were needed to decide a team champion between Purdue and South Carolina at the 2025 Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate at Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw, S.C.
Purdue led by six shots late in the final round, but South Carolina rallied to force the playoff at 30-under.
Purdue then decisively won the extra hole to win its second straight tournament at the Hootie Intercollegiate at Bulls Bay Golf Club. The Boilermakers carded rounds of 275-279-280, and South Carolina carded rounds of 292-282-270.

A month after winning the prestigious Puerto Rico Classic, Purdue has now won back-to-back full-sized tournaments for the first time since the 1980-81 season.
According to Purdue Athletics, in his first season, head coach Andrew Sapp has led the Boilermakers to three team titles, the most for a first-year head coach in school history. The three full-event (at least 10 teams) victories are also the most for the Boilermakers in school history.
South Carolina finished in solo second place after falling in the playoff, Furman finished in solo third place at 27-under, and Charleston finished in solo fourth place at 26-under.
In the individual competition, College of Charleston standout senior Kieron van Wyk finished 14-under with rounds of 69-69-64 to secure the two-shot win. Van Wyk's final round of 8-under 64 was highlighted by an eagle, six birdies, and no bogeys. He is currently ranked No. 73 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings.

This is van Wyk's second individual title of the season. He previously won the White Sands Bahamas Invitational, which earned him an exemption to the 2025 PGA Puerto Rico Open, where he finished T4 at 19-under.
Frankie Harris of South Carolina finished in solo second place at 12-under, and Jenson Forrester and Zach Adams of South Carolina finished T3 at 11-under.
