William Minton outlasted Sam Jenkins in a three-hole playoff to win the North Carolina Mid-Amateur Championship, capping a tightly contested final day at North Ridge Country Club’s Lakes Course in Raleigh.
Minton, who took the 36-hole lead following rounds of 67 and 65, closed with an even-par 72 to finish at 12-under 204.
