Michael Carnes defeats brother Casey to win Texas Mid-Amateur Match Play

Michael Carnes walked off the 16th green at The Covey at Big Easy Ranch on Sunday with a 3 & 2 victory over his older brother Casey, claiming his first Texas Mid-Amateur Match Play Championship in what may be the most memorable final in the event's history.

"You could not ask for something more special," Michael Carnes said. "I was very happy to see him make it through. It probably won't ever happen again but hopefully next year we are back again and back at it."
