Pierce Adamson of Atlanta, Ga., a junior at Georgia Southern, led a strong amateur showing at the Georgia Open, earning low-amateur honors with a third-place finish at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta.
Adamson carded rounds of 72-67-72-66 to finish at 11-under 277. His closing 6-under 66 was his best round of the week and secured solo third, four shots behind the eventual champion.
