Garrett Engle of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga shot a third-round 6-under 66 to get to 16-under and take a one-shot lead into the final round at The Dogwood Invitational at Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga.
Engle has shot rounds of 67-67-66 to get to 16-under and leads Maxwell Ford of North Carolina and Bruce Murphy of Tennessee by one shot, who are T2 at 15-under
Ford finished T2 last year with Neal Shipley, the 2024 low amateur at the Masters. His caddy for the tournament is his brother, David Ford, who also plays for North Carolina and is ranked No. 5 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings.

David Ford also told the Dogwood that "I should have played the Dogwood this year," so the lefty from UNC might join the field next year.
Aidan Kramer of Georgia Tech and Nathan Franks of South Carolina are T4 at 13-under. Shubham Jaglan of South Florida is in solo sixth place at 12-under, and Tegan Andrews of Cal State Fullerton is in solo seventh place at 11-under.
2023 champion Hunter Logan of Mississippi State, First round leader Kye Meeks of Ole Miss, and Buck Brumlow of Georgia are T8 at 10-under. 2022 champion Carson Bacha of Auburn is T11 at 9-under.
Hans Risvaer of UCF held the 36-hole lead at 12-under, but a 6-over 78 saw him fall to 6-under and T20. Risvaer won the 2023 Western Junior.
