Danish International Amateur Championship: Bence Bertanyi and Tessa Kremser take titles

Europe's elite amateurs return to Denmark for 72 holes of stroke play at one of the circuit's established tests

SILKEBORG, Denmark — The Danish International Amateur Golf Championship opened Tuesday at Silkeborg Ry GC, where a strong international field is chasing 72-hole stroke play honors. Now in its 26th year, the event has established itself as a proving ground for Europe's top amateur talent. Entry is limited to men with a handicap index of 2.0 or lower and women at 5.0 or lower, ensuring a competitive test over four rounds at the Danish venue.

Last year's championship required all 72 holes to settle. Daniel Toft of Smørum Golfklub closed with even-par 72 to finish four under for the week, holding off Theis Poulsen by four strokes. Victor Thybo took third at one over. The field battled through varied conditions, with the third round playing three strokes over par after a PCC adjustment.
