Jack Larkin Sr. entered the final hole with a two-shot lead, but a nine on No. 18 gave Sughrue the one-shot win

Matthew Sughrue of Arlington, Va., won the thrilling 2024 Chanticleer National Senior Invitational at Greenville Country Club, Chanticleer Course, in Greenville, S.C., a tournament that came down to the final hole.

Sughrue shot 3-over to beat the field by one shot and carded rounds of 70-74-75 to secure the win.

Bob Royak of Alpharetta, Ga., finished in solo second place at 4-over and one shot back of Sughrue. Rick Stimmel of Pittsburgh, Pa., finished in solo third place at 5-over.

Jack Larkin Sr., of Atlanta, Ga., finished T4 at 6-over after a final round 10-over 82. Larkin entered the final hole with a two-shot lead, but a nine on No. 18 gave Sughrue the one-shot win.
