Bo Blanchard of Columbus captured the 104th Georgia Amateur Championship on Sunday at Ocean Forest Golf Club in Sea Island, closing with a 4-under 67 to finish at 16-under 272 and claim the Robert H. Martin Trophy by three strokes.
Blanchard, who opened with a 1-under 71, steadied himself with consecutive rounds of 67 to build a commanding lead heading into the final round of the 72-hole stroke play championship. His Sunday 67 proved more than enough to hold off a strong field of 144 competitors on the links-style layout.
