Baylor secured the team win at the 2024 Aggie Invitational at The Traditions Club at Texas A&M in Bryan, Tex.
The Bears took a two-shot lead after the first round and never looked back, winning by six shots and finishing 14-over. The Bears carded rounds of 290-292-296 to win at 14-over. Baylor shot a final round 8-over 296 to hold off the field on the final 18 holes.
Texas A&M finished in solo second place at 20-over, six shots back of Baylor. The host school Aggies carded rounds of 300-294-292. They played well, but the 10-shot deficit after round one proved to be too tall of a hill to climb.
Sam Houston finished in solo third place at 32-over, LSU finished in solo fourth place at 35-over, and Louisville and UTSA finished T5 at 36-over.
Baylor head coach Mike McGraw secured his 20th win, giving him 50 career wins. He is the winningest head coach in program history.

In the individual competition, Jamie Montojo of Texas A&M and Niilo Maki-Petaja of Louisiana Tech were co-medalists at 1-over, although they took two different routes to get there.
Montojo carded rounds of 71-77-69 to get to 1-over, and Maki-Petaja carded rounds of 70-74-73. Montojo birdied No. 17 to tie Maki-Petaja at the top of the leaderboard, and both golfers made birdies on No. 18 to finish tied for the win.
Montojo is ranked No. 176 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings, while Maki-Petaja is ranked No. 353.
Phichaksn Maichon of Texas A&M finished in solo third place at 3-over, and Malan Potgieter of Louisiana, Brody Stevenson of Florida Gulf Coast, and Zach Heffernan of Baylor finished T4 at 3-over to round out the top five. Heffernan was the 36-hole leader at 1-under, but a final-round 4-over 76 saw him fall to T4.
Maichon was coming off a win at the Louisiana Classics last month.
