Paula Martin Sampedro of Spain successfully defended the Smyth Salver at the AIG Women's Open, becoming the first player since Jeeno Thitikul (2018-19) to claim the prestigious low-amateur honor in consecutive years at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
The Stanford senior and World No. 2 amateur carded rounds of 69-71-76-72 to finish tied for 29th at 4-over 288, comfortably leading the amateur contingent for the second straight year. She earned the Smyth Salver with a T-8 finish at Royal Porthcawl in 2025.
