The 68th Charlotte City Amateur is a prestigious 54-hole stroke play championship held annually across three different Charlotte-area courses. After 18 holes the field is cut to the low 50 and ties, and after 36 holes to the low 24 with no ties, determined by playoff if necessary. The low 24 earn exemption into the following year's event.
Amateur golfers who are legal residents of Mecklenburg County, NC (determined by driver's license) and have a current USGA handicap index of 6.4 or below
