Unlock with membershipThe North & South Men's Amateur, founded in 1901, is the longest consecutively run amateur tournament in the United States and stands among the sport's most prestigious championships. Past champions include Walter Travis, Francis Ouimet, Jack Nicklaus, and Curtis Strange. The 120-player field contests 36 holes of stroke play on Pinehurst Nos. 2 and 4 before the top 32 advance to five rounds of match play, all on legendary Pinehurst No. 2, to crown a champion.
Male amateur golfers; handicap index 5.0 or less; must conform to USGA Rules of Amateur Status and Gender Policy
Entries are open to male amateur golfers with a handicap index of 5.0 or less. Applications must be submitted by May 11th at 12:00 PM ET. The field consists of 120 players including exempt players and open applicants; non-selected applicants may enter an open qualifier on June 27th.
