The Huskies claimed the title after a red-hot 15-under 273 in the second round to pull away from the field

The Washington women’s golf team pulled away from the field at the 2025 Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational thanks to a blistering second round at Ka’anapali Golf Resort in Lahaina, Hawai’i.

After opening with a 3-under 285, the Huskies posted a blistering 15-under 273 in round two and closed with a 287 to finish at 19 under — 11 shots clear of the field. Washington was the only team to post three rounds under par.

Sacramento State finished runner-up at 8 under (286-281-289), while Oregon State took third at 7 under (283-284-290).

Statistically, the Huskies dominated across the board. They led the field in par-4 and par-5 scoring, finishing a combined 22 under on the par 5s. Washington also tallied a field-best 53 birdies and made the fewest bogeys with just 38.

Washington’s Vivian Lu and Gonzaga’s Grace Lee shared medalist honors at 11 under. Lu fired a tournament-low 65 in round two, bookended by rounds of 70. Lee posted rounds of 69-66-70 to tie for the top spot.

Denver’s Emma Bryant and Oregon State’s Kyra Ly tied for third at 7 under, with BYU’s Maria Jose Barragan finishing solo fifth at 5 under.
