Washington State University's Bradley Mulder captured the 105th Washington Men's Amateur on Wednesday, closing with a 1-under 71 to finish at 12-under par and edge Sam Renner of Bend, Oregon by one shot at The Home Course in DuPont, Washington.
Mulder opened the championship with rounds of 66-67 before surviving a roller-coaster final round that included an early double bogey. After making the turn in 3-over 39, he steadied himself with birdies on holes 10, 15, 16, and 17 to regain the lead before closing with a par on the 18th for the victory.
