Washington Men's Amateur: Roller coaster final round yields victory for Bradley Mulder

The Washington State University golfer made the turn in 39, but birdied four holes on the back nine to edge Sam Renner of Bend, Oregon

Washington State University's Bradley Mulder captured the 105th Washington Men's Amateur on Wednesday, closing with a 1-under 71 to finish at 12-under par and edge Sam Renner of Bend, Oregon by one shot at The Home Course in DuPont, Washington.

Mulder opened the championship with rounds of 66-67 before surviving a roller-coaster final round that included an early double bogey. After making the turn in 3-over 39, he steadied himself with birdies on holes 10, 15, 16, and 17 to regain the lead before closing with a par on the 18th for the victory.
