Jordan Utley handled the tougher conditions at Bay Creek Golf Club and Resort to take control of the 50th VSGA Mid-Amateur Championship, posting a second straight round in the 60s to move two shots clear after 36 holes.
The 2024 champion followed his opening 68 with a 3-under 69 to reach 7-under 137, making him the only player in the field to break 70 in each of the first two rounds.
