2026 U.S. Mid-Amateur Qualifying Roundup

Hundreds of amateurs competing at dozens of sites through early September, with a chance to compete at Sand Valley Resort's beloved Lido Course on the line

Qualifying is underway for the 45th U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, which will be played Sept. 26-Oct. 1, 2026, at Sand Valley Resort in Nekoosa, Wisconsin. Stroke-play qualifying will be contested on The Lido and Sand Valley Course, with all match-play rounds held at The Lido.

The Lido is a modern resurrection of C.B. Macdonald's celebrated Long Island design, which opened in 1914 and was later lost during World War II. Recreated by Michael and Chris Keiser beside Sand Valley, the course brings back Macdonald's classic template holes, including the Alps, Redan and Eden, on a grand scale highlighted by deep hazards and greens averaging more than 12,000 square feet.
