Chad Niezing (Manchester) runs away with the St. Louis City Championship Open Division, firing matching rounds of 66 to finish 8-under 132 and claim a four-stroke victory.
Niezing was one of three players to open with 66 on Saturday, but he was the only one to repeat that number Sunday, pulling clear of the field. Joe Migdal (Chesterfield) closes with 70 to finish second at 4-under 136. Joseph Friedel (Saint Peters, 67) and Chris Kovach (Manchester, 70) share third at 3-under 137. Niezing, who finished third at Forest Park last year, earns $700.
SENIOR DIVISION
Paul Neeman passed first-round leader Brian Lovett on Sunday by shooting 68 to Lovett's 72 and taking home the title. In the Super Senior flight, Robert Trittler of Wentzville shot a solid 69 in the second round to bring home a one shot win over Anthony Brown of St. Louis.
