Three share NCAA Individual Lead after Two Days

The only team under-par halfway through stroke play is 3-under UCLA

STILLWATER, OK (May 20,2018) – A trio of players are sharing the lead at the midway point of the NCAA Women's Medalist Championship. The group is comprised of Jennifer Kupcho (Wake Forest), Bianca Pagdanganan (Arizona) and Cheyenne Knight (Alabama).

Kupcho began the second round in the lead following her first round Karsten Creek course record 7-under 65 on Friday only to come back to the pack with a second round 2-over 74. Of the leaders the round of the day came from Pagdanganan who carded a 4-under 68 to reach 5-under while Knight signed for a 3-under 69.

For Pagdanganan the highlight of day came on the 148 yard par-3 11th hole where the junior recorded a hole-in-one.

UCLA's Lilia Vu is a shot off the lead at 4-under in fourth while Patty Tavatanakit also of UCLA and Florida State teammates Morgane Metraux and Kim Metraux are sharing fifth at 2-under.

The team lead belongs to UCLA, the only team currently under-par at 3-under. Alabama (+2) is in second, USC (+13) is third, Arizona (+16) and Northwestern (+16) sit in fourth, Kent State (+19) and Florida State (+16) are sharing sixth while Duke (+20) is eighth.

Editors Note: The top-15 teams after 54-holes will advance to the final round of stroke play on Monday. Following play on Monday the field will be cut to eight teams with quarterfinal match play set to begin on Tuesday. The top-nine individuals not on an advancing team will also move on.
