Three men share Duncan Putter title at Southerndown

Scoring conditions were tough at Southerndown Golf Club, and in the end, three players shared the top spot

Two players charged while one held on, but in the end, three players shared the Duncan Putter title at Southerndown Golf Club in Newport, Wales. Shergo Al Kurdi and Jacob Davis got into the mix with final rounds of 73, while George Bryant, the first-round leader, had a second consecutive 77. It was just enough.

All three players finished the week at 8 over. Bryant’s opening 67 was the lowest score among any player at Southerndown. It was one of only two scores under 70.

A stiff wind from the northeast and overcast conditions made for a tough day around Southerndown, and prevented players from going terribly low.

Oliver Brown was two shots back in solo fourth. Thomas Williams, another shot behind that, rounded out the top 5. Williams gained ground on the leaderboard in the final round with a 71, the lowest score of the day.
