Swiss International Amateur: Denk wins in playoff

LUTERBACH, Switzerland (August 12, 2017) - It took extra holes but in the end Austrian Luca Denk was able to capture the Swiss International Amateur hosted by Golfclub Wylihof. After four rounds of play Denk, who finished tied for eighth in the Swiss International a year ago, was 12-under but so was Thomas Le Berre of France. Denk arrived at 12-under with rounds of 68-73-70-69. During his final round 4-under 69, Denk birdied five-times and bogeyed once. His birdies were recorded on Nos. 2, 4, 8, 10 and 14. Le Berre reached the playoff with tallies of 74-65-72-69. In order to reach the playoff Le Berre birdied three-times between Nos. 13-17 on Saturday. France's Felix Mory shared third with Jeremy Freiburghaus of Switzerland at 9-under while Charles Almeida of France placed fifth at 8-under.
