JOHNSTOWN, Penn. (June 13, 2014) -- Rainy weather wreaked havoc on the field Friday at the 2014 Sunnehanna Amateur, forcing the completion of Round 3 to be moved to Saturday morning. Less than half the field completed Round 3 with the leaders needing to complete the bulk of their third rounds before the 54-hole cut is made and final-round action can commence at Sunnehanna Country Club Saturday. Atop the leaderboard part of the way through Round 3 is Nicholas Reach. The Georgia Bulldog entered the day at 5-under and is already 3-under on his third round through three holes. At 8-under for the tournament, he holds a four-shot advantage. Sam Burns, an Oklahoma commit, rising junior Doug Ghim, South Carolina's Will Murphy and Charlie Danielson are all at 4-under, with golf left to play on the outward nine when play was ultimately stopped for th day Nathan Smith, who held a share of the overnight lead along with Danielson and Reach, is 2-over through three holes in Round 2. Smith, of course, is a four-time U.S. Mid-Amateur champion and two-time U.S. Walker Cup team member. Third-round play will begin at 8 a.m. with the start of the final round at 9:30.
