Northern Ireland's Reeve Whitson knocked off Neil Raymond, 4-and-3 in Sunday's 36-hole match play final

CARTAGENA, Spain (March 3, 2013) -- Northern Ireland's Reeve Whitson knocked off Neil Raymond, 4-and-3 in Sunday's 36-hole match play finale, winning the Spanish International Amateur Championship. At La Manga Club, Whitson and Raymond prevailed out of a 32-player bracket and took aim at the prestiguous title. Whitson took a 2-up advantage after the first 18 holes, winning Nos. 5, 10, 13 and 14 after falling behind early on. It was much of the same in the afternoon round as Whitson went 3-up on the 7th and put it out of reach on the 15th hole to close it out.
