Skip Berkmeyer closes with 66 to claim Metropolitan Senior Amateur

Skip Berkmeyer captured his second Metropolitan Senior Amateur Championship, overcoming a weather-delayed final round to finish at 2-under 138 and win by two shots at Quincy Country Club.

The final round of the 34th championship was postponed because of weather and course conditions before play resumed Friday. Several competitors were forced to withdraw because of the delay, but Berkmeyer returned with a two-shot advantage after opening with a 4-under 66 on the par-70 layout.
