Schell, a sophomore at Bartram Trail High School, followed up his 2-under 70 in the first round with a 1- over 71. The round began slowly for Schell as he bogeyed the first and double-bogeyed the 7th. However, a 9th hole birdie stopped the bleeding and he was able to get one more shot back with a birdie on the following hole.
Like Schell, Ryan Mosley has also posted rounds of 70-71. The Flagler College junior started quickly with 2nd and 4th holes to birdies to bring him to 4-under. Now in the lead Mosley, gave all of his work back one hole later with a double-bogey before finishing his day with two bogeys and a birdie on the back nine.
Kyle Stiles was able to join the fray at the top of the leaderboard with a 1-under 70 in the second round. Stiles, who shot an even-par 71 Friday, fell to 2-over for the week with back-to-back bogeys on the 7th and 8th holes. Not one to give in, Stiles rebounded with an eagle on the par-5 9th to turn in even-par 35. On the back nine, fueled by the momentum gained from the eagle, Stiles brushed off a bogey on the 11th by birdieing the 12th and 15th holes.
Michael Saccente has moved within one shot of the lead thanks to consecutive even-par 70's while Brandon Mancheno arrived at the number with tallies of 69-71.
First round co-leader Cole Castro and Kyle Flexsenhar are tied for sixth at 1-over. Spenser Slayden and Jeff Golden are only three behind at 2-over.
