Scenes from Druid Hills: The 55th Dogwood Invitational

Since 1941, the Dogwood Invitational has been a centerpiece of championship amateur golf and genuine hospitality in the southeast, providing competitors and spectators with an early look at golfers who would go on to become icons of the game.

Past champions include Hudson Swafford (2006), Webb Simpson (2007), and Brian Harman (2009), among many others. Georgia legend Tommy Barnes, who qualified for 16 consecutive U.S. Amateur championships, won the event five times. Auburn junior Carson Bacha added his name to this illustrious list with a five-shot victory for the tournament's 55th running, capping the biggest amateur win of his young career with a final-round 66 that included a remarkable double-eagle.
