SAMMAMISH, Wash. (June 30, 2014) -- Jay Hwang, Mark Anguiano and Byron Meth share the lead after 36 holes of play at the 2014 Sahalee Player Championship.
At Sahalee Country Club, Hwang, of UCLA, and Meth, who plays his college golf at Pacific University, and Anguiano, of Cal State Fullerton, sit at 4-under after Day 1 and the 36 grueling holes it brought.
Meth carded duplicate rounds of 2-under 70 while Hwang shot 72-68. Anguiano shot 71-69 to move towards the top of the leaderboard.
Aaron Wilkin and Owen Taylor are one shot off the shared lead while rising UNLV star Kurt Kitayama is tied for sixth place.
Reigning Trans-Miss winner Bryson Dechambeau of SMU, who took second at last year's Sahalee Players, is among a group of seven players at 1-over along with recent California State Amateur champ Xander Schauffele.
