Rowin Caron wins Dutch Men's Amateur

The Florida State University senior fired 67 on the final day to win his home country's amateur championship

DRENTE, Netherlands — Florida State University senior Rowin Caron, a native of the Netherlands, won his home country's amateur championship on Sunday, shooting at final-round 67 at the Dutch Men's Amateur to capture a four-stroke win. Caron had an impressive junior campaign for the Seminoles, placing second at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate and tying for 11th at the Valspar Collegiate. He also tied for 11th at the European Amateur. Max Albertus of the Netherlands and Gregoire Schoeb of France tied for second place at five-under par 283, with Albertus going low (66) on Sunday to grab the runner-up spot. Rounding out the top-5 are Robbie van West of the Netherlands and Nicolai Von Dellighausen of Germany.
