Rasmus Hojgaard wins Danish International Amateur

Despite getting off to a tough start, Hojgaard posts a 1-under 71 and even par total for 72-holes to win by a stroke

SILKEBORG, Denmark (July 2, 2016) -- Rasmus Hojgaard of Denmark won the Danish International Amateur. After getting off to a rough start with bogeys at both Nos. 1 and 2, and compounding his problems when a lost ball at 8th cost him a double-bogey, Hojgaard found his game coming. Playing the final holes in 4-under resulted in a final round of 71 and a 72-hole total of even par 288. That was just good enough to edge his fellow countryman John Axelsen by a single stroke.
