Quintin Pope finished 6-under and defended his Wyoming Amateur title in runaway fashion

CASPER, WY (June 26, 2016) -- Quintin Pope finished 6-under and defended his Wyoming Amateur title in runaway fashion at Three Crowns Golf Club. Pope, a rising junior at Wyoming finished an astounding 11 shots in front of Jordan Costello and Jayd Dion who were both 5-over. In the first round Pope shot an even-par 71, which he followed up with a 2-under 69 in the second round. However, it was the final round where Pope did most of his work as he shot a 4-under 67. During the final 18-holes Pope tallied eight birdies and four bogeys. After turning in even-par 36 Pope rolled in five birdies on the back nine and just one bogey to finish his tournament with an impressive 4-under 31.
